Citrus County Street Team The Citrus County Street Team is a group of individuals from several agencies and organizations who are committed to prevention activities in Citrus County. While focused on teens mainly, the Street Team’s goals are to help educate both children and parents about ways they can stay healthy, happy, and safe. The Street Team is strictly a collaborative group that formed an alliance to fill a need regarding middle and high school students. Although the Street Team is not an independent organization, it utilizes certain components of the Anti-Drug Coalition. When necessary, the ADC assists with some financial responsibilities concerning events that all Street Team members support, but is an environmental strategy of the ADC.
Current Street Team Participating Agencies & Organizations: Anti-Drug Coalition, Citrus Abuse Shelter Association, Citrus County Schools, Citrus County Sheriff's Office, Citrus Memorial Health Foundation YMCA, Citrus County Boys/Girls Clubs, Eckerd "Hi-Five" Kids, Filter Youth, Development, Tobacco-Free Florida/Florida Dept. of Health, The Centers, and University of Florida-IFAS.
